The Snow Started

The snow started
The pain stopped
The human feeling revived, survived
The turn for the worse
The toss and turn
This was the night lost

The dawn brought thick white flecks against the evergreen mountainside
Through the window to the outside
Natural vision blurred through unnatural chemical selection

I felt the words come again
They broke over my mind and its cold season of suffering
